One of the most amazing things about Portland is our love of art and all things creative. In our non-monogamous lifestyle we combine our love of art, along with our love of sex and we have several venues that host erotic art galleries. The following is a listing of those places, information about their galleries, and when and how you can view them. We will also talk a bit about the artists who are featured there when the information is available.
Gallery Privata is well known for all things stylish and posh, but their Art Gallery is one of the featured aspects of the establishment. Club Privata usually hosts an opening Gala on the first Thursday of each month, but due to the holiday on July 4th, the opening gala will be held on Thursday, July 11th, featuring the work of this talented artist.
Mr Muze started doing photography in high school and carried on into college with more of a journalism angle, but also took some art classes concentrating on alternative processes. He was taken away from college by a great offer of employment in the photojournalism field that ended up taking him all over the world. He has been published in most major news and sports magazines through the early 2000’s where the digital age killed the freelance market.
He then started portrait and some commercial work. He started working with a lingerie designer and importer on her website and that turned into doing nudes of some of the models to help build their portfolios. He found that he really enjoyed the sensual and erotic creative process and is moving back into film and models in nature and erotic studio work.
From the artist – “I am spending about half of my time in Arizona and traveling the back roads of the Mojave desert and I happened to run into Joshua Tree National Park. I went back with a model and stopped at Jumbo Rocks campground. An amazing place with, well, very large rocks with color and shading that was very close to the shade of the models skin. We spent half the day there. While kneeling in a rock pile she asked how I would like her to pose, I said “look like a rock” she curled up and looked like a rock. I really like the way the models naked skin both contrasts with the textures of the natural surroundings, while also blending harmoniously with the scene as a whole.”
Club Privata will be hosting a public art opening of these artists’ fine work, with no door fee and no membership requirement, from 6-8pm on Thursday, July 11, 2018. Come view the art, talk with the artists, and sample some of the tasty beverages from local breweries, wineries and distillers.

Rituals for Nameless Gods
Rituals for Nameless Gods is an ongoing art project, featuring the beauty and talent of many people. Each piece is created using multiple photos of the same individual, through a collaborative process that allows the subject to choose the poses and concepts, which the artist then assembles and embellishes through digital manipulation. It is the artist’s belief that this dynamic interaction creates a more spontaneous and intimate feel to the finished works.
Unusually colorful for the artist’s work, these pieces explore the line between the sacred and the profane, the acceptable and taboo, the grotesque and the beautiful. Furthermore, without a specific story, they permit freedom of interpretation, allowing the observer a more personal reflection and experience.
The Sanctuary will be closed on July 4th so there will be no opening Gala, but Than’s work will be showing throughout the month of July, you’re invited to come check it out!
